When do you hear but not listen? When are you aware but not involved? And when do you know but (choose) not (to) know?
Many a times, work email inboxes are jammed up with reminders and memos. Sometimes, one'll get as many as 3 reminders for the same task in the same week! And of course, presuming (the sender, of course) that you do not understand the content of the email, the next email comes in a larger font size and in bold and underlined and sometimes, even in colour, in a desperate bid to draw your attention to the key words.
But you know what? I don't think it's "I don't understand what your email's about..." but rather "Okaaayy, I'm going to ignore your email simply because I'm not going to and (very possibly) don't want to do it either."
And I was thinking...why doesn't the sender ever wonder why this is even happening? Well, I can only say it's a matter of attitude and not ability. Don't you think so? But of course, it's also never just about the job, isn't it?
PS: Thinking of a certain Ms G while writing this blog... =P
