Bread & Butter

The thing about staying alone is the issue of How am I going to finish all the food? And that naturally translates into How many days do I have to eat the same things? So, after almost one week of egg and turkey ham and cheese sandwiches coupled with tomatoes and lettuce every morning and the occasional butter toast for supper, I finally managed to finish the whole loaf of 650g of bread which, coincidentally, expires today. But I guess my next loaf will not be wholemeal and I will definitely remember to freeze it (apparently, frozen bread keeps up to 4 months) so I don't have to finish it within a week again. (^_^)

And then, there was the new-found excitement in my week-old rice cooker. Firstly, my rice isn't chao-dah anymore (finally!), and secondly, after the same chicken wings and rice dinner for 4 straight days, I finally could move on to something else. So I made myself some stir-fried (hmmm...maybe fry isn't technically it, but...) tomato and chicken with rice for dinner today. Maybe I'll move to black pepper beef next (but that means I'll have to finish all the chicken first)...
