Was there something that bothered you big time in the past and you can't seem to get over it for the longest time? Did you have a fight with someone over something that you rendered really important back then? Have you ever thought it was the end of the world when something unexpected happened when you least expect it to?
Over time, I find that what used to be important have become not so important, and what used to be a big deal, is actually, well, not that big a deal anymore. And it's not just me: A long-time friend wants to forgive a good friend for stealing her boyfriend in secondary school; another gave up a 5-digit-paying job for a lesser one in exchange for a different experience; somebody I know wants to speak to his ex-girlfriend after an unspeakable 6 years.
So, what is it that makes us change our minds on something we were so adamant about previously? Have you ever wondered?
