The day Starbucks closed its doors

Maybe it's the high cost of living, but it sure isn't a good enough excuse for zits to make a guest appearance. Hmmm...could it be the 2nd-hand smoke then, I wonder? I had this thought the other day: I'll probably have a higher chance of dying from passive smoking than die popping the dubiously carcinogenic FF lozenges on a (very) regular basis. Ironically, the air back home is seemingly less deadly, at least to me.

I digressed. Imagine my horror when the news reported a planned 14-day strike by truck drivers transporting fresh food on Monday. That would be the greatest fear in every foodie's mind; a food shortage would mean an escalation of the already high food prices. But thank God the strike fizzled out in less than 24 hours.

But aghast did set in when the register rang up more than A$200 just now. I guess it's time to be serious...

Hmmm...I wonder how many more textbooks I'll have to buy for the next two modules.
