G'day Mate!

This is so not happening...Imagine my shock [and fear] when I learnt over orientation dinner just now that I've not signed up for my classes [OMG!] after enrolment yesterday and some are already full. And memories of NUS days came back to haunt me that very instant: Back in the good old days, the practice has it that tutors will stick the paper [yes, paper] enrolment forms on their office doors and students would rush from office to office to reserve a place in their preferred time slots and it's literally a tug of war at the start of every semester.

But the Lord says to cast all my anxiety on him [actually, there was nothing much I could do at that point of time]. And to my pleasant surprise, the faculty has planned a nice time table for me. (^_^) All glory be to Jesus!

But that's not all. 48 hours ago, grossly overweight at 36kg and sandwiched between two burly ang moh men, I embarked on a knowledge quest despite not knowing what's installed for me. For one, I didn't even know how to get to uni from my apartment or where to get a LAN cable for the internet. But life's treating me good...

Traffic Junction at Victoria Park overlooking Broadway Mall [left] and Unilodge [right].

My mess of receipts after an afternoon of shopping for necessities.

Broadway mall has everything, except MacDonald's! So I settled for [cold] sushi roll last night. Well, at least it's healthy... =P

Morning TV is loaded with commercials...weight-losing ads to be specific. I think I'd watched about ten thousand of them from 10 till about 1 today. And as I devoured my lunch at Pavillion Plaza [actually I got lost in the city looking for Harvey Norman], I told myself, "Jo, just eat." In retrospect, cold sushi doesn't seem that bad...

And so I suspect I'd drunk half a bottle of fat at lunch today.

Maybe it was energy from all the oil, I soon spotted a computer shop along George Street and finally got the cable. Coincidence? Nada...all thanks be to Jesus! If not, how do you explain getting away with excess baggage?
